The Firing has Begun!
December 31, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
It’s time to say goodbye to the 2008 NFL coaches that just couldn’t get the job done. Detroit, Denver, Cleveland and the New York Jets fired their head coaches after the last week of the regular season. A team that goes 0-16 has no place in the National Football League and should be penalized for such a horrible and embarrassing record. The firing of Mike Shanahan wasn’t surprising to me at all. When your overall record is 24-24 from the last three seasons and your team has a crazy meltdown during the middle of the season, you should get fired, period. These NFL owners now a days are pretty much tired of dealing with a losing season and not making it to the playoffs. Read more
Anything is POSSIBLE!

What in the world happened to the Dallas Cowboys? I’ve never seen the Cowboys play like this. The passion for making it to the playoffs was gone completely at halftime. Kevin Garnett’s quote has come true “Anything is POSSIBLE.” The Eagles needed a couple of things (aka “a freakin miracle”) to work in their favor and it happened. I can’t believe it. The number three defense in the NFL displayed a work of art throughout the game. A number of turnovers created by Pro Bowler Brain Dawkins added 14 points for the Eagles defense. Where did the other 30 points come from?I didn’t think the Eagles offense would put up that many points against the Cowboys defense. So, where do the Cowboys go from here? I hope in a more positive direction. We shall see. Take Care Sports World.
P.S. Big shout out to my boy Joselio Hanson for “takin it to the house for 6″

Week 17! This is it for those teams trying to get into playoffs. The NFL has a couple of great matches this weekend that will cost a number of coaches their jobs. Players in the league don’t start to become play makers until after week 6 or 7 in my mind or until their team needs a big win. FYI….The money is on the table for each player that’s in their final year of their contract or if they are trying to restructure their deal. Which player will make a name for themselves to get that money? Pennington heads to New York to face his former team and fans. Read more

Two of the best teams will face off once again to claim who is the favorite to win the NBA Finals. (Picture from ESPN)
Big games today in the NBA. Two of the best teams will face off once again to claim who is the favorite to win the NBA Finals. Kobe and the Lakers will have to man up against the beast of the east Celtics. Mr. Garnett and his crew will have enough pressure, not because of playing on Christmas Day but with trying to uphold the best record in the league. If sports writers say this is the NBA Finals game today then I will definitely be watching it with family. Read more

What a game last night! Monday night football is always primetime football across the country. This time of the year NFL players and coaches start to earn their paychecks. There’s no more running through the motions or acting like you are hurt and can’t go for a game. This was the 176th regular season meeting between the Bears and Packers, the most played series in NFL history. It’s Not Bowl Time For Me Yet!

The NCAA and these universities are really starting to get out of hand with all of these made up bowl games.
Today is the day for college bowl games to start playing. I’m really not that big of a fan around this time, especially for games that are before Christmas. It’s really a waste of MY time. I’m not watching a bowl game called the “EagleBank Bowl,” that’s not my cup of tea. The NCAA and these universitites are really starting to get out of hand with all of these made up bowl games. It’s always a good and bad to every marketing idea…wink wink. Read more
Missing Texas Stadium!
In 1971 the doors of Texas Stadium were open to all die heart Cowboy fans. This was place where memories were created by generations. Texas Stadium was home to many people across the DFW area but also around the world. People would fly into town just for a day sometimes just to watch the Cowboys play on their home field. This stadium gave parents a place to entertain their kids, cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends who never thought they would be able to set foot inside of an NFL venue. Living in Dallas has definitely shown me the passion that this area has for the Dallas Cowboys. Read more

McCoys passing rate was 2nd behind Bradford, a quarterback that probably threw 15 to 20 more passes per game than McCoy.
McCoy, McCoy, McCoy. I really feel bad for what happened to the Longhorn’s and you this year. The Heisman presentation was not given to the right guy in my mind. McCoy stats this year were outstanding for a quarterback that didn’t throw the ball that much compared to Bradford and Tebow’s offensive statistics. Read more
