Don’t Go Back Cutler!
March 25, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Over the last month the Denver Broncos organization have been trying to overcome a big mistake when trade talks started about Matt Cassel coming to Denver. Jay Cutler, the starting quarterback was never once informed about the possible trade that new head coach Josh McDaniels was trying to accomplish. There’s a couple of things wrong with this situation that rubbed Cutler the wrong way. There’s no way Cutler will head back to Denver to play for coach McDaniels. The trust factor has been thrown out the window. If I was Cutler I would hold out as long as I can so I can be traded or ask for his contract to be restructured.

March Madness

Okay sports fans, I’m telling you know. Look for Louisville to win the tournament. UConn, Duke, and UNC will have their fun like usual but don’t be surprise if they are not in the Final Four. I know it probably sounds crazy but don’t sleep on some of these other teams that are looking to knock off number 1 seeds. Good Luck in Vegas.
The Dwayne Wade’s Show

An MJ moment took place down in Miami when the Heat faced off against D. Ross and the Chicago Bulls. Wade went for 48 points, 12 assist, 4 steals and a win against the Bulls. The game went into two overtimes but came to an end when Wade stole the ball from Jason Salmon with 3 seconds left and then made an unbelievable running 3 pointer to win the game. This game was priceless.

Who wants T.O.?
March 6, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
I was very shock to see Owens released by the Dallas Cowboys. I think the pressure is on for both sides. T.O. will look to sign with another team next week or probably right before the NFL Draft. The Dallas Cowboys will definitely have to look for another playmaker to bring in and complement the other receivers. My thoughts are that the Redskins or Oakland will try to land T.O. on their roster. Both owners are known for taking a big risk to win down the road.

After several months of hard nose negotiating with the LA Dodgers front office. Manny receives a two year deal worth $45 million dollars. Super agent Scott Boras and the Dodgers management met Wednesday morning in Los Angles to finalize the deal. Dodger Nation should be really happy to get this guy back in the club house. He is known as the best hitter in the league, who looks to crush anything that is thrown across home plate.

The word “recession” means nothing to these two guys. Albert Haynesworth and DeAnglo Hall signed major deals yesterday to make Washington their home for the next several years. Haynesworth $100 million dollar deal is officially one of the richest deals in the National Football League. He is expected to make right at $32 million dollars over the next 13 months. As for the 25 year old Hall, this becomes his second big payday, inking a $54 million dollar contract with $22.5 million in guarantees.

Texas Tech highly regarded wide receiver Michael Crabtree addressed the media at the 2009 NFL combine about his foot injury. Crabtree played the entire season with this injured foot and still put up decent numbers. He will work out for the scouts before he has surgery. Doctors mentioned that the healing process would take 10 weeks or so until the foot is completely healed. Raider Nation will be pleased during the 2009 draft because Crabtree is expect to be a top 5 pick.
BIG EAST Showdown!

DeJuan Blair from Pitt was just to much this game for Hasheem Thabeet of UConn. Blair totally took control of every UConn big man they had. Scoring 22 point and grabbing 23 rebounds, Blair gave every NBA scout a great look and something to think about when draft time rolls around. As for Thabeet, he just didn’t look comfortable and strong enough to compete against Blair. There’s still no doubt in my mind that Thabeet is still the second best player in the country behind Griffin from OU. Thabeet’s main focus when entering this year’s draft is to hit the weights hard and gain 15 to 20 pounds to compete in the NBA.

Let’s set the record straight on this topic. Alex Rodriguez, came out publicly and admitted that he took steroids back in 2003 when he was with the Rangers. Bud Selig mentioned, “that there is no valid excuse for using banned substances, and those who used them have shamed the game.” Well, Mr. Selig what about you and your leadership during the time this was going on. There has been a number of Hall of Fame guys that have been called out regarding steroids and most of it happened on Mr. Selig watch as Commissioner. Read more
